SYNOPSIS:
"Seventeen-year-old Riley, the only daughter of legendary Demon Trapper, Paul Blackthorne, has always dreamed of following in her father's footsteps. The good news is, with human society seriously disrupted by economic upheaval and Lucifer increasing the number of demons in all major cities, Atlanta’s local Trappers’ Guild needs all the help they can get—even from a girl. When she’s not keeping up with her homework or trying to manage her growing crush on fellow apprentice, Simon, Riley’s out saving distressed citizens from foul-mouthed little devils – Grade One Hellspawn only, of course, per the strict rules of the Guild. Life’s about as normal as can be for the average demon-trapping teen.

But then a Grade Five Geo-Fiend crashes Riley’s routine assignment at a library, jeopardizing her life and her chosen livelihood. And, as if that wasn’t bad enough, sudden tragedy strikes the Trappers’ Guild, spinning Riley down a more dangerous path than she ever could have imagined. As her whole world crashes down around her, who can Riley trust with her heart—and her life?"-goodreads.com

Butterfly Clues by Kate Ellison

Well what a pleasant surprise this book turned out to be!  Earlier this school year, I was doing Freshman Orientation at the local high school and finished the incredible book "Monsters of Men" by Patrick Ness and was in need of something to read. Fortunately, the orientations were for the school's library so I was able to easily find a book to read. I checked out the display for "Read for a Lifetime", the state of Illinois' High School Reading Challenge.  There I found this book.  This book about Lo that has hardcore OCD and hoarding issues whose brother is dead and she wants to know why.  I tell ya, it was better than I was expecting. I finished it in about a day and there were some twists and turns that I did not see coming!!!  I'm glad that I read this book and urge you to do the same. Check out the synopsis and reviews below!!!  And if you are interested in reading the books on the Read for a Lifetime List, check out the link here. I have already read quite a few and am looking forward to reading more!

SYNOPSIS: "Penelope (Lo) Marin has always loved to collect beautiful things. Her dad's consulting job means she's grown up moving from one rundown city to the next, and she's learned to cope by collecting (sometimes even stealing) quirky trinkets and souvenirs in each new place--possessions that allow her to feel at least some semblance of home.

But in the year since her brother Oren's death, Lo's hoarding has blossomed into a full-blown, potentially dangerous obsession. She discovers a beautiful, antique butterfly pendant during a routine scour at a weekend flea market, and recognizes it as having been stolen from the home of a recently murdered girl known only as "Sapphire"--a girl just a few years older than Lo. As usual when Lo begins to obsess over something, she can't get the murder out of her mind.

As she attempts to piece together the mysterious "butterfly clues," with the unlikely help of a street artist named Flynt, Lo quickly finds herself caught up in a seedy, violent underworld much closer to home than she ever imagined--a world, she'll ultimately discover, that could hold the key to her brother's tragic death." -goodreads.com

Cinder by Marissa Meyer

This book was awesome!  It took me a while to read it but only because I've been super busy.  When I was finally able to sit and read it, I think it took about 8 hours total so really, that's not too shabby for an almost 400 page book!  I really enjoyed this book!  Am I mad that it's a series of four and I have to wait for the next one cause the book kind of just ended?  YES!!!  But at least I have so many other series that come out at various points during the year, the next book will be out before I know it!!!  Check out the Synopsis and Reviews below!

Happy Reading! :)

Starters by Lissa Price

On the negative side, this is not a stand alone book and yet another series that I have to wait for the next book to come out...on the plus side, it is only a 2 book story and the final book comes out in December so at least I dont have to wait THAT long!!!  This book was awesome.  As I was reading, the climax kept growing and growing and growing...nonstop!  I can't wait to see what Lissa Price does with the rest of the story!!!  I like this story so much that if I try to write what it's about, I will give something away, so check out the Synopsis and Reviews below!!!

Pandemonium by Lauren Oliver

My God!!!  What a fabulous sequel to Delirium!!!  I mean, it took me a little while to get into it since I read Delirium so long ago and I was only reading on my lunch break, so it took some time to finally get going for me...but once it did?  I finished this bad boy in like 3 hours!!!  I love love love this book!  I really am upset that I have to wait til next year for the final installment in this trilogy, however as long as it ends well, I'm sure the wait will be worth it!

I'm not one for giving away crucial points of a book so I dont want to say anymore than it was great and you should read it!!!  For a Synopsis and Reviews, check below!!!

Dead to You

Lisa McMann is definitely one of my favorite authors!!!  I have read everything she has written except for one which I have every intention on reading.  This book was a little different from what she normally writes but I enjoyed it all the same.  The first paragraph drags you in and nothing is what you expect it to be!  Check out the synopsis and reviews below!!!

"When Milton and Marlo Fauster die in a marshmallow bear explosion, they get sent straight to Heck, an otherworldly reform school. Milton can understand why his kleptomaniac sister is here, but Milton is—or was—a model citizen. Has a mistake been made? Not according to Bea “Elsa” Bubb, the Principal of Darkness. She doesn’t make mistakes. She personally sees to it that Heck—whether it be home-ec class with Lizzie Borden, ethics with Richard Nixon, or gym with Blackbeard the Pirate—is especially, well, heckish for the Fausters. Will Milton and Marlo find a way to escape? Or are they stuck here for all eternity, or until they turn 18, whichever comes first?"
