Rage by Jackie Morse Kessler

The Second Book in the Riders of the Apocalypse series...this was all about Horseman War.  It was good!  I preferred the first book, Hunger, to this one, but I think that has to do with the fact that I read the entire thing in one sitting.  This one took a little longer to get through since I was only reading it on my lunch break; which left me about 10 minutes to actually read!!!  The third book comes out in the Spring and is all about Pestilence.  It will be called Loss.  I'm excited about this one since you don't really see Pestilence in these other two books, it will be interesting to see where the author takes this!  Check out the synopsis and reviews of RAGE!!!

SYNOPSIS:
"Missy didn’t mean to cut so deep. But after the party where she was humiliated in front of practically everyone in school, who could blame her for wanting some comfort? Sure, most people don’t find comfort in the touch of a razor blade, but Missy always was . . . different.

That’s why she was chosen to become one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse: War. Now Missy wields a new kind of blade—a big, brutal sword that can cut down anyone and anything in her path. But it’s with this weapon in her hand that Missy learns something that could help her triumph over her own pain: control.

A unique approach to the topic of self-mutilation,Rageis the story of a young woman who discovers her own power and refuses to be defeated by the world." -goodreads.com

Synopsis:

During World War I, gruff Germany finds Italy hiding in a wooden box of tomatoes. Germany takes Italy as prisoner, but instead of war-like interrogation, Italy becomes more of the nuisance and unwanted guest. World War I quickly comes to an end, but World War II is right on its heels! This time, Italy tries his best to become friends with Germany. They soon befriend Japan, and the three of them form the Axis Powers. Meanwhile, America, who loves heroism and hamburgers, tries to form a treaty, as Great Britain reminisces about when America was his loving child.

Of course, after those 3 hours, you’ll probably have the Opening and Ending Credits stuck in your head. But it’s a small price to pay for all the laughs you’ll get!
